Local cafe Island Thyme has had a makeover by local stylist Anna Church. Anna was instrumental in setting up many of the product photos on our website. She has incorporated an amazing display of our ceramics in glossy white. Get the full story on her blog.

Auckland Gift Fair

Auckland Spring Gift Fair - we'll be there!

Auckland Spring Gift Fair - Stand Location Map --- We'll see you there - (click to enlarge the map)

We will be attending the Auckland Spring Gift Fair on 21-23 August at ASB showgrounds and can be found at Stand 7121 (which is in Hall 7).

We are currently working on some exciting new designs to showcase there. It could be a big one with the Rugby World Cup just around the corner and the cancellation of the Christchurch Fair (for obvious disastrous reasons).

I just can’t imagine how tough it must have been (and still is) trying to run a business, let alone keeping calm through the constant quakes.

The gift retail industry is hard enough without that. Handmaking in NZ is also hard going. With a high NZ dollar imports get cheaper, while our costs are constantly going up making it harder to compete for market share.

Let’s work together and make it NZ made this year!

Venue:
ASB Showgrounds,
Greenlane, Auckland, New Zealand
The ASB Showgrounds are located at 217 Greenlane Road – about 10 minutes from the city centre.

The Garden Party Factory New Website

Feb 23, 2011   //   by Peter Baigent   //   News  //  No Comments

The new website was created on Waiheke Island using all local talent.

Web designer Sol Harris from Purple Dog Design created the functionality, structure and design of the site. I was there occasionally to poke and tweak but it was a very straightforward and enjoyable experience. Sol is very easy to work with, and he did a great job.

Another islander Gabe Braly took some choice photographs and local designer Anna Church styled an inspired shoot.

The site will be updated constantly and new designs will be uploaded as they are created. Customers on our database will be informed by email of any developments and specials.

Please let us know what you think of it so far by leaving a comment below 🙂

Onwards and Upwards!
